  1. And while we’re talking about awards, the Fuglies are calling for nominations.

Go check out the site and maybe make some suggestions at their web site

  2. The Logies are full of shit. It should be industry event rather than an award show based no nothing but TV Week readers with a limited choices. Still the logies did have one golden moment. When Fat Cat turned up at the Hyet Hotel the year the logies moved to the Crown and Fat Cat was cancelled for “being to sexy for children”

fourthof5, it’s both – the ‘Outstanding’ awards are a peer/industry vote, the ‘Popular’ awards are the public vote. At least with SMS voting now the Popular awards are more likely to represent public opinion, rather than that of about 25 TV Week readers, although how they come up with the list of finalists is anyone’s guess – perhaps it’s somehow based on ratings?

I love the parochial/daggy nature of it, and that the imported guests recognise it as such as well – Chris Noth and George Eads’ incredulity and hamminess last year was hilarious.
