Ep 207: Modern Family, Twilight Zone

Modern Family, not a black and white like it or not review about the new series from ABC in the US. Intrigued? You should be. It was an intriguing conversation. Also, the Twilight Zone is a beguiling series that we talk about in Things You May Have Missed. There’s News, Letters, Raywatch, Pork, One Thing and maybe some more words with “gu” in them.

I couldn't decide whether Josh or Brett was funnier on “This Week on Boxcutters”. Then I heard John's snickering in the background and now have to clean tea out of my keyboard. Now I need to listen again with an empty mouth…

Re soaps: What about Coronation Street and EastEnders? Unless the plot is particularly dense, the stories run pretty much to “real time” – if the eps screen 2 days apart, then the next ep will often be set 2 days later. They've managed to incorporate current issues and events effectively. I think those particular stories are going to be around for quite a while.

oh FFS!! STOP TALKING ABOUT A GUY WHO'S HAD AN AFFAIR, PLEASE. YOU ARE PERPETUATING THE PROBLEM.

SERIOUSLY, I AM SCREAMING AT YOU TO STOP.

    YES, MOVE ON!

Portia de Rossi was Mandy Rogers until she was 15 when she changed her name by deed poll; so it IS her real name, just not her birth name.

What about Something In The Air Grant Bowler? He was lovely and seemed to be very amused by his surroundings.

Family Guy still sucks arse. Always has, always will.

  5. call me cynical but don't you think that the show XRAY is focusing on Terry Hicks rather than David in order to circumvent any process which stops David profiting from his story

  6. Did The Hilarious House of Frightenstein ever reach Australia? I caught it in re-runs when I was younger, and it was mandatory viewing when my aunt was 10-12. There's an idea for a Before and After School, methinks.
