  3. Just watched The Increasingly Poor Decisions Of Todd Margaret and although I cannot make a three episode ruling, I’m not sure I could sit through another two. David Cross not funny in this.

  4. From the lollygagging segment, Brett's thinking of Stephen K Amos.

    I thank you.

  7. Stephen freakin-K Amos! Of course it is. Thx John.

  8. I think that may be a very early lesson in TV Reporting 101…

It's just that most of the broader population hasn't even gone that far and Charlie Brooker showing rather than telling puts two elements of that course together. In the sense that there's a language of film, there's also a language of TV reportage that we all subconsciously recognise and understand, short circuiting explanations about what it all means every time.

Thanks for the heads-up that there's a new Screenwipe season in progress though. As it happens, I coincidentally watched the first two seasons this very evening. Being late to the 28 Days/Weeks Later film duo and seeing them just a few weeks ago, it was quite strange when they were in the supermarket and the Screenwipe theme music started playing. Clearly, Brooker was quite influenced by that experience, having taken the music and then making his own zombie series using the same in camera effects to portray the frenetic scenes as was used on the new (at the time) Canon digital cameras used to shoot 28 Days Later.

  9. Bees! Trained, homing bees… I know! It's insane! what the boys had to go through in order to set that interview up.
    Freakin' bees, maaan…

  10. Yeah, we actually used his anglicised name…

His full name is Nazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz-zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz-zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeem Huzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz-zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz-zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz-zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz-zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzein.

That's why we have to use the bees.
