  1. 10.5 Apocalypse – NO: not another American disaster telemovie!
The Dish – YES: but it’s a pity it’s being sold as by the creators of “thank God you’re here” (their capitalisation, not mine).
The Inside Film Awards – YES: it should be more entertaining than other Aussie awards shows.
A ’sing-along’ version of High School Musical – NO: it’s an okay movie, but this is just to sell the Karaoke Edition DVD.
The Mask Of Zorro – NO.
Communications Minister Helen Coonan speaking at this year’s Andrew Olle Media Lecture – NO: unless she can top John Doyle’s very entertaining effort from last year.
So You Think You Can Dance – NO: the non-ratings period’s not for another two weeks, Ten!
Ashes To Ashes – NO: this stands to out-shite The Footy Show From Germany.
House at the “new appointment time” of 7:30 – NO: not while I’m eating!
Ads interrupting programmes on SBS – NO: it seems like SBS’s ads policy is to put them in anything that is “popular”.
Doing this each week – YES: as *I’m* the one doing it!

  2. 10.5 Apocalypse [8:30 Fri, 7] – Yes if you like the smell of 70’s film making in the morning
The Dish [8:35 Fri, 10] – NO unless you want a sleep aide
The Inside Film Awards [10:00 Fri, SBS] – I don’t know enough about these – do they only reward failures like the AFI awards?
A ’sing-along’ version of High School Musical [7:00 Sat, 7] – I would prefer the fence along version of The Mask Of Zorro [8:30 Sat, 10]
Communications Minister Helen Coonan speaking at this year’s Andrew Olle Media Lecture [10:35 Sat, ABC] – YES – something to raise the bile
So You Think You Can Dance [8:30 Sun/7:30 Mon, 10] – NO I know I can’t thanks for asking
Ashes To Ashes [9:35 Tue, 9] – NO
House at the “new appointment time” of 7:30 [Wed, 10] – NO – new time – same show every week
Ads interrupting programmes on SBS – NO – It’s like they have never even watched commercial TV to know when to insert an ad to minimise the intrusion
Doing this each week – YES – it’s like a quiz but easier. Maybe channel 9 can run this concept between midnight and 3 am.

  3. 10.5 Apocalypse [8:30 Fri, 7] – NO: Its trash, the only thing about this is they are right, this is the Apocalypse
The Dish [8:35 Fri, 10] – NO: It has some great scenes, but between its so dull
The Inside Film Awards [10:00 Fri, SBS] – YES: Yea gives a good insite into what films you have missed
A ’sing-along’ version of High School Musical [7:00 Sat, 7] – NO: I cant sing, so its useless to me!
The Mask Of Zorro [8:30 Sat, 10] – Maybe, depends on how drunk you are
Communications Minister Helen Coonan speaking at this year’s Andrew Olle Media Lecture [10:35 Sat, ABC] – YES: I need to get some agression out, so I’ll be yelling at her (No broadband at home for me so she pisses me off due to her lack of attitude about broadband in Australia)
So You Think You Can Dance [8:30 Sun/7:30 Mon, 10] – NO: I’m so over “reality” gameshows
Ashes To Ashes [9:35 Tue, 9] – ????? I think I have missed what this is!
House at the “new appointment time” of 7:30 [Wed, 10] – NO: Again move it and I dont watch.
Ads interrupting programmes on SBS – NO: its pissing me off, if they put them on during Inspector Rex, I’ll be really made. I’ll be setting up to send them an email complaint every day soon, just so they know! However it is useful for a toilet break. Oh and the “Coming up” have to go NOW!
Doing this each week – YES- Its good to see what everyone else think.

  4. 10.5 Apocalypse [8:30 Fri, 7] – NO

The Dish [8:35 Fri, 10] – NO gawd save us from the quirky Austrayyan.

The Inside Film Awards [10:00 Fri, SBS] – YES specially if our Cathy could present an award. Oh, but maybe they’ve split up?

    A ’sing-along’ version of High School Musical [7:00 Sat, 7] – NO

The Mask Of Zorro [8:30 Sat, 10] – NO

Communications Minister Helen Coonan speaking at this year’s Andrew Olle Media Lecture [10:35 Sat, ABC] – YES if it could have ads (see below)

So You Think You Can Dance [8:30 Sun/7:30 Mon, 10] – YES cos what we need are more judging panels of illiterate bogan men and new agey wacko women!

Ashes To Ashes [9:35 Tue, 9] – YES but only if that’s the show where you get the natty channel 9 radio.

House at the “new appointment time” of 7:30 [Wed, 10] – NO goddamn you to hell! (because I’m a very grumpy but clever doctor with, you’ll never guess, a heart of gold).

Ads interrupting programmes on SBS – NO except if they could do that way cool weblike thingie where you have frames of text and windows plastered all over the screen during the main program.

Doing this each week – YES more procrastination opps at work please!

  5. 10.5 Apocalypse [8:30 Fri, 7] – YES (what a great way to start the weekend. it should be terrible!)

The Dish [8:35 Fri, 10] – NO (this is a different kind of completely unwatchable terrible)

The Inside Film Awards [10:00 Fri, SBS] – NO (but mostly because I hold the magazine in self-righteous contempt)

A ’sing-along’ version of High School Musical [7:00 Sat, 7] – YES (I’m interested to see how they police the ‘sing-a-long’ aspect)

The Mask Of Zorro [8:30 Sat, 10] – YES (I think people are under-estimating this film. It has a great script by Terry Rosio and Ted Whatsisname and some great and fun performances)

Communications Minister Helen Coonan speaking at this year’s Andrew Olle Media Lecture [10:35 Sat, ABC] – YES (This lecture is worth watching every year and this year we get to see a woman actually shit out of her mouth)

So You Think You Can Dance [8:30 Sun/7:30 Mon, 10] – NO (I don’t think, I know, and I don’t think I’m in this show so how dare they suggest their criticisms)

Ashes To Ashes [9:35 Tue, 9] – NO (That’s when the Daily Show is on)

House at the “new appointment time” of 7:30 [Wed, 10] – NO (I never watched it at the old appointment time of wheneverthehellitwason)

Ads interrupting programmes on SBS – YES (finally, some fast-paced entertainment on SBS– it also works as a handy distraction from the porn)

Doing this each week – YES (I’m game if you are)

  6. Great job Daniel G!

10.5 Apocalypse [8:30 Fri, 7] – YES. Although I won’t. Bit of a soft spot for disaster terrible disaster movies.

The Dish [8:35 Fri, 10] – No. No chance. Patronising and dull.

The Inside Film Awards [10:00 Fri, SBS] – No. To reward what exactly?

A ’sing-along’ version of High School Musical [7:00 Sat, 7] – YES. (but only in the interested of being fair and balanced – nobody else said yes yet – otherwise no)

The Mask Of Zorro [8:30 Sat, 10] – No. See next.

Communications Minister Helen Coonan speaking at this year’s Andrew Olle Media Lecture [10:35 Sat, ABC] – No, although I did enjoy last years. If only they could combine these last two as Minister Coonan speaking as Zorro. Or Zorro interrupting somehow.

So You Think You Can Dance [8:30 Sun/7:30 Mon, 10] – No chance.

Ashes To Ashes [9:35 Tue, 9] – No. (Good concept Eddie – really earning your 6 Mil. How many more concepts can you spin off the Footy Show?)

House at the “new appointment time” of 7:30 [Wed, 10] – NO

Ads interrupting programmes on SBS – No. How bloody annoying. Gets me every time.

Doing this each week – Definite YES. great work.

  7. Awesome idea DGB…

10.5 Apocalypse – NO – you know that cheese bit I talk about in each week of Jerico? I find all these disaster movies – even the blockbuster theatre released ones – 80% that kind of crap

The Dish – NO – Saw it when it was first released and found it pretty dull then. All these guys got too much money and became suburban and boring, safe, middle-of-the-road tossers sometime after Late Show or Frontline – whichever was last…

The Inside Film Awards – NO – Although I find it the most valid of the local awards, I’m out for a vertical wine tasting and I’m not going to set the video to watch later.

A ’sing-along’ version of High School Musical – YES – One for the video, just cause I wanna check out what all the buzz is on the streets with the tweenies and keep in touch with the inner child. I haven’t seen it at all and my niece was asking me about it last time I saw her.

The Mask Of Zorro – NUP

Communications Minister Helen Coonan speaking at this year’s Andrew Olle Media Lecture – YES – set the tape – I like to keep my friends close…

So You Think You Can Dance – NOt unless I stumble in on the couch-bound housemate flipping onto it in five second blocks… Having said that, the girlF is a dancer and runs the dance peak body and she may be partial to it in weeks to come – especially given she was taking an interest in Idol – blah!

Ashes To Ashes – NO. What is this thing? I’m assuming it’s cricket related. I’m much sooner out there playing rather than slumped in front of the screen for five days at a time or any of the accoutrements of that pursuit.

House – YES – I was a late arrival and so am now catching up on the relationships back in the early days. I don’t know how Hugh Laurie plays Becker in a way that doesn’t make me retch but he’s pulled it off.

Ads interrupting programmes on SBS – OMFG NO! Especially not with that fricken cutesy foreign language NEXT flipping over to english every time they come back. Screw you SBS, with your wank spin pieces about how we’re all embracing the new regime. From what I read yesterday, they’ll be rolling out the inserted ads into every show on air from January – sorry about that Inspector Rex. And how many fricken times do we have to watch that stoopid beer ad – it’s not funny, it’s not clever.

Doing this each week – YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES

    BB

  8. To clear possible confusion – Ashes to Ashes is the Nine attempt to recreate the Footy Show but about cricket. Part of the reason they signed Ponting and resigned Warne.

  9. Whoa. There are two Nigel’s. Man thats rare.
