YES or NO? Week 2

After your hearty endorsement last week, everyone’s favourite game* returns for a second week, and here’s good news: now you can play Yes Or No at the movies! Simply decide between ‘yes’ or ‘no’ after each trailer screens. For example: Borat, yes; The Santa Clause 3, no. It’s the best thing to happen to the “pre-show program” since imagining that these people are looking at porn!!
*provided that Josh, Ross, Brett, Daniel G, Lyndal, Nigel P, Esther and fourthof5 are “everyone”

Just copy the following, paste it into the comment box, and edit where necessary – even explain why you made your choice if you like!

1) Movie: Wimbledon [8:30pm Fri, 10] – YES or NO
2) Iron Chef America [8:30pm Sat, SBS] – YES or NO
3) The Idol final [7:30pm Sun, 10] – YES or NO
4) The Comic Relief thing [7:30pm Mon, 7] – YES or NO
5) The StarDancers final [7:30pm Tue, 7] – YES or NO
6) The 2006 Glass House Awards For Eksalince [9pm Wed, ABC] – YES or NO
7) Look Who’s Talking [not the movie; 8:30pm Thu, 9] – YES or NO

  1. 1) Wimbledon [8:30pm Fri, 10] – YES. Is it that time of year again already? Love the tennis.

    2) Iron Chef America [8:30pm Sat, SBS] – NO, unless Bender is up again.

    3) The Idol final [7:30pm Sun, 10] – NO, but very very pleased to see the back of it. Let’s hope the winner is as successful as whoever won last year.

    4) The Comic Relief thing [7:30pm Mon, 7] – NO CHANCE. Kylie bloody Mole back again. This is part of the problem with comic characters in this country and why we can’t just let them die.

    5) The StarDancers final [7:30pm Tue, 7] – NO, although I am intrigued how Kouta made it through. What a line up – a washed footballer vs a teasing chess champ.

    6) The 2006 Glass House Awards For Eksalince [9pm Wed, ABC] – NO. Not really a fan.

    7) Look Who’s Talking [not the movie; 8:30pm Thu, 9] – YES. Definitely. State of the art special effects. Pre Pulp Travolta. Pre pounds Kirsty Alley. The genius of Bruce Willis voiceover. Not quite as good as the sequels though, especially the one with the talking dogs.

    Thanks again Daniel G

  2. Lets play again

    1) Wimbledon [8:30pm Fri, 10]-No, cant stand movies which use sport to hook guys in!
    2) Iron Chef America [8:30pm Sat, SBS]- Yes, I havent seen these, so it will be good to see Iron Chefs going at it again
    3) The Idol final [7:30pm Sun, 10]-No, I dont care about idol, I actually like music, not pitch shifted pop music!
    4) The Comic Relief thing [7:30pm Mon, 7] – NO NO NO NO NO NO NO, let old comedians die please!
    5) The StarDancers final [7:30pm Tue, 7] -NO, I dont care! I didn’t even realise Star Dancers was on. I’ll take a Simpsons repeat over this!
    6) The 2006 Glass House Awards For Eksalince [9pm Wed, ABC]- Yes, but just a yes because its the last show. The Glass House Awards shows are usually their worst ones, but I dont mine the main 3 so I’ll watch it.

    7) Look Who’s Talking [not the movie; 8:30pm Thu, 9]- PVR (so Yes, just to check it out), its against Jericho which is hit or miss, but I enjoy it. I’ll check it out as I need a 8:30pm Thursday replacement for when Jericho finishes.

  3. 1) Movie: Wimbledon [8:30pm Fri, 10] – NO. Haven’t we seen this film two, three or four times already in different guises?

    2) Iron Chef America [8:30pm Sat, SBS] – YES. Iron Chef fan. Want to see what the yanks have done with it. Man alive… let’s get it on!

    3) The Idol final [7:30pm Sun, 10] – NO. Yawn, etc. 90 minutes of filler.

    4) The Comic Relief thing [7:30pm Mon, 7] – MAYBE … It might be one of those flick in and flick out things, depending on who’s trying to be funny at the time. Mythbusters has ads now.

    5) The StarDancers final [7:30pm Tue, 7] – NO. I am a StarDancer’s virgin and refuse to lose my cherry now.

    6) The 2006 Glass House Awards For Eksalince [9pm Wed, ABC] – YES. Would be a shame to miss the last one ever.

    7) Look Who’s Talking [not the movie; 8:30pm Thu, 9] – NO. Just seeing Ray Martin’s name put me off. And I don’t have a baby to practise on.

  4. alex boxcutter says:

    ) Movie: Wimbledon [8:30pm Fri, 10] – nope

    2) Iron Chef America [8:30pm Sat, SBS] – Yes for iron chef, not sure about the “america” part yet.

    3) The Idol final [7:30pm Sun, 10] – God NO!!!!

    4) The Comic Relief thing [7:30pm Mon, 7] – yes, I always dig standup!

    5) The StarDancers final [7:30pm Tue, 7] – No!!! I’m so over all this bullsh!t “pay for itself” tv. People need to stop wasting their money to keep these shows going!

    6) The 2006 Glass House Awards For Eksalince [9pm Wed, ABC] – YES for one last time before they pop up on a commercial network and go the way of good news week….once great….then became stupid and so obviously pre-rehearsed. Leave me an illusion of spontaneity please!

    7) Look Who’s Talking [not the movie; 8:30pm Thu, 9] – I’m with Kerrie….enough ray already!

  5. Ross! What are you doing? Wimbledon is the film, not the grand slam event, and it’s not the film version of Look who’s talking – it’s Ray Martin interviewing the Baby Whisperer. Having said that, let’s get down to business…

    1) Movie: Wimbledon – NO – out for Kiss Me Kate at the Princess – not interested in taping either…

    2) Iron Chef America – NO

    3) The Idol final – NO it only encourages them

    4) The Comic Relief thing – Probably not – haven’t these been on the last couple of weeks, covering for Rove?

    5) The StarDancers final – NO – even though my friend’s the musical director… the dramatic pause before announcing each of the vote results is too cheesy for words – and WAY too long

    6) The 2006 Glass House Awards For Eksalince – YES – with nothing to lose, there’s no telling what sort of shenanigans these guys are going to get up to…

    7) Look Who’s Talking – NO – I can’t stand Ray after he’s taken so much corporate cock over the years.

  6. I saw the ad for the comic relief thing last night, and I want to change my mind and say NO after I saw who was going to be on it.

  7. 1) Movie: Wimbledon [8:30pm Fri, 10] – NO. I don’t think I could watch a more boring film.
    2) Iron Chef America [8:30pm Sat, SBS] – YES. I have not seen the US version of it, I rather like the Japanese version and am interested in how this one stands up.
    3) The Idol final [7:30pm Sun, 10] – NO! I value both my sanity and my ears.
    4) The Comic Relief thing [7:30pm Mon, 7] – Maybe. They have been doing this for years in England and it pretty good. I expect this to be contrived rubbish though.
    5) The StarDancers final [7:30pm Tue, 7] – NO. Pointless crap.
    6) The 2006 Glass House Awards For Eksalince [9pm Wed, ABC] – YES at least there is something on worth having a look at.
    7) Look Who’s Talking [not the movie; 8:30pm Thu, 9] – NO. I would rather cut off my testicals than have to sit through that.

  8. I have just been informed that I will be watching “Look Who’s Talking” and since we’re not recording the show this week it looks like I will have little choice.

    Think I’d prefer the movie.
