What a BIG week in TV it has been. Channel 9 are slashing and burning news people all over the place and now talking about cutting pay packets as well. Possibly because they were a little jealous about all the attention they were missing out on, channel 7 has got in on the redundancy act with an announcement of Global Television taking over management of the Coventry Street studios. What a massive stroke of prescience that we just happened to have arranged for channel 9 newsman, James Talia, to join us in the studio to co-host the show.

Along with a bumper news segment-slash-inquisition of our co-host, Jess McGuire has another Big Brother special report that makes us feel a little like all the action is happening in the UK version, leaving us with a bit of a Bland Brother. Our eagle eyes have picked up two new I Don’t Buy Its – as if you need to squint really hard to make them out… Ross almost crosses over into the Crap TV realm with 7′s plans for the AFL broadcasting rights next year. And we take a look at a couple of things coming up on network schedules after half-time when we all change sides.
