I’m assuming that Showtime and the like are restricting streaming access because for some (not all) programs there are extended segments available to view on the website? This seems to be the case for BBC as well, particularly in relation to some of the elements of the Doctor Who website.
I’ve found with a couple of anonymizers that the transfer rate is greatly slowed because you’re going through a proxy – have you encountered this with The Cloak? Also, does The Cloak only offer US proxies or worldwide by location?
