I remembered I promised this little link for you guys…
It’s the Orson Welles outtakes for some Californian champagne he was shooting while, perhaps, having sampled too much of the client’s product.

Here’s a bit more info on the state of Richard Hammond after the accident that we mentioned on the show this week:
PRESENTER of British motoring program Top Gear Richard Hammond suffered a significant brain injury in a high-speed crash in a jet-powered car while filming for the program, a hospital spokesman said today.
“He has suffered a significant brain injury,” the spokesman said.
“It is still giving cause for concern as it is still early after the injury. However, we are reasonably optimistic that he will make a good recovery.”
Ooh, look at all the goodies. Here we have a discussion about the ratings. If you wander over here you can hear the sounds of Crap TV. Cast your eyes skyward and see a flock of news items. Sleeping soundly are some Things You May Have Missed which really are People Like Us. Tiptoe through all the delightful bits and pieces and, as you leave don’t forget to note the particular scent of pork.
It’s Boxcutters 53 and it’s full of wonder.

Channel 10 have made the switch.
Tench is back to 9:30 and Jericho is coming on the 8:30 timeslot.
Probably a bright move, but doesn’t help those of us recording a podcast around the 8:30 timeslot on the other side of town.
Hmmmm, Jericho or Loser Survivor… Or go all mutli video like the Brettster.

Another great show. Fun for all the family.
This week as well as the usual News, Ratings and Pork we’ve got an “I Don’t Buy Them“ (or two “I Don’t Buy Its”), Al Gore takes on Penn and Teller over Enviromental Issues, there’s an awesome Quotes, and a look at some New Shows.
Lots of Fun. Get it while it’s hot.

We’ve seen more of him in the ads than in the driver’s seat in recent years so it’s perhaps more of a shock that Peter Brock was behind the wheel when he was killed today, slamming into a tree when he lost control going around a hairpin bend in a rally.
I guess it’s just one of those weeks.

I assume there’s some sort of football game on at the MCG tonight so we in Richmond are privileged enough to get a good buzzing from the airship that I mentioned on the show a couple of weeks ago.
It’s more cigar shaped than previous blimps around Melbourne have been and the screen looks like it’s just a rear projection system onto the side of the balloon. That’s a lot less interesting than the report sounded. Not to mention it’s just on a loop of ads for Commodores.
And it doesn’t even look that big and I’m looking at it almost directly overhead.
There’s a word that comes to mind and that word is LAME

I’m sorry, I was a bad Boxcutter last week and I promised this would be up and I didn’t get around to putting it up. It looks like the clips are going to stay up despite MS’s protests but if anyone gets a bad link let me know and I’ll upload the MP4 versions.
Here’s the first part and Part 2 is over here.

Steve Irwin, the environmentalist and star of The Crocodile Hunter, died Monday after an accident with a stingray near Cairns, Australia, according to local Australian media. He was 44.
Irwin was filming an underwater documentary, reportedly about demystifying stingrays, by Port Douglas, Queensland around 11 a.m. Eastern Australian Time (0100 UTC) when he was struck by a stingray barb in the chest. While the stingray barb had penetrated the left side of his chest, the exact cause of death is still offically unknown. Steve Edmondson, a local diving operator, listed cardiac arrest from the injury as a possibility.
